What is your ritual?
Recently I attended a New Moon pagan ritual ceremony.  May I say, it was very interesting to watch. Variety of symbols were presented there; candles that symbolize four elements (Earth, Fire, Water and Air) and four corners of the world (North, South, East and West), candle to invite ancestors, candle to invoke presence several gods and some other candles that added much meaning to the ritual and made it even more rich and esoteric. Hand crafted wands, oils, frankincense, incense and gifts for gods, scrying mirrors, bells, and many other attributes of a paganistic ritual; all these things were there to fulfill the ritual and to bring down the blessings of the Old-World.
The World as we see it may very from our views and believes. Some may say that they believe in what they can see, touch, smell or hold, others believe in what they can feel on a spiritual level. I believe that our world is full of things that you can not only see, touch or feel, it is also full of things that we don't know, or may be have forgotten...
My ancestors come from very rich cultural and spiritual backgrounds. One of the backgrounds was their pagan religion where they had many gods whom they worshipped and brought sacrifice. If we all will dig far enough into out past we will eventually find that we are related to someone with pagan religion or a belief.
Some may say that rituals belong to the old-world, and that we don't need them no more... Nevertheless, look around yourself and you will see that we all have some kind of a ritual in our daily live. Would it be a morning cup of coffee, or a prayer, it's all there... We may not know who our ancestors were, but their believes and rituals are inevitable parts of our past.
     So, what is your ritual?
